Adjusted Efficiency (ADjeff):This is the best Peak Productive per possession & Efficiency season Adjusted for Strength of Schedule a player has had in their career. 22+ minutes or 14+ppg to qualify.
It’s based off the system above. You can check out the individual player rankings. I ran the numbers on what each team returns in adjusted efficiency for strength of schedule. Take it for what you will. Duke isn’t even in the top 100 (#103). You wouldn’t expect them to be either with the experience they have, or lack there of. Of course this doesn’t include, JUCO’s, freshman, coaching, fit or probably most importantly minutes distribution. For example, if a Zach Edey is only going to play 19 minutes again, he’s not really going to move the needle like his ADJeff suggest. You can’t when you aren’t on the court. This is impact per possession and it does capture the known most proven impact players and highest ceiling potential. Rankings are more art than science, but this is something I will consider in the 2nd version of the Hoops Resource rankings. I think where the differences are most major, I will need to re-examine why the “feel” rankings are so different.
