Quentin Millora-Brown joining the Citadel? That’s a solid move. The guy’s started 57 games in the SEC over the past couple of seasons and even had a starting role in CUSA before that. Plus, with Winston Hill in the mix now, things are looking up for them. If they can get some shooters to back up these two, they might just become the unexpected stars of the league. And don’t sleep on Rylan Jones and Trey Bonham either – those are some significant pickups for the conference. Kyler Filewich had a bit of a quiet season, mostly because he was behind some big names like BJ Mack. But considering he’s had a starting gig in the MVC, I’m expecting him to step up this season. As for the top spot in the league, I’m leaning towards Samford. Furman had their moment last season with the NCAA appearance, but their current roster? Feels like they’re hitting the reset button. They’ve probably got the coaching edge, but you still need the players to make it all work. Even though it might seem like a low shot, I’m kind of digging the Citadel’s new lineup.
