Outside of the Pac-12 (rip) no conference has been hit as hard recently in realignment. In football this conference takes a step back, but in basketball, this is a nice solid conference that features some really strong historical programs. I should have a chance to rank higher than the Sun Belt as a basketball conference who some teams left CUSA to go to some years. Also many of the additions of like New Mexico State, Liberty, Sam Houston State and others are stronger than some of the teams the American took. I kind of like this conference for basketball. There is a chance they get left behind financially to the Sun Belt but it’s a conference that can be more focused on basketball which we like.
